Abigail Roser is a photographer who started her interest in high school. However, shortly after her initial interest in photography, her creativity was challenged when she was severely injured. Over the course of four surgeries in three years, the only thing about her that was not affected was her love of photography. Her eye in photography changed from the dramatic pictures staged to the focused images of wildlife and little details we often don’t notice at first glance. Please note that these images are a part of her portfolio and do not include pictures taken and edited for clients. A few of her best sculptures and drawings are included on this page, as Abigail’s creativity reaches more than just photography. Recently, she took a semester abroad and worked on creating sculptures with a Parisian Sculpturist, Clara Delamater!

Sabi sands game reserve and cape town Black and White…
Sabi Sands Game Reserve is one of the most beautiful safaris in South Africa. Abigail visited in the summer of 2023. She found some beautiful animals, including the most poached and one of the least-seen animals in the world… the Pangolin. You can see a black-and-white image of the Pangolin below; most people who work on Sabi Sands or grew up around the area have never seen one in their entire lives. The spotting was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and Abigail wanted to capture it. Some of the images shown are from various parts of Cape Town, South Africa.

These are also images from South Africa but instead of black and white these images are in color. Abigail wanted these photos to show the bright natural colors in nature. She focused on the browns, reds and yellows in the images from the reserve but in the penguin images below she focused more on blues and whites.

The little things
Abigail is passionate about capturing small details that most don’t see at first glance. She often uses her macro lens and ultra zoom lens when taking these types of images because they al for clarity and patterns to pop out in the image.
